Arkham Files (Everyone place characters in this one)
As I don't want to be tracking down profiles once this area gets more cluttered, post your characters as replies in this topic. For those that don't know, the RP is based off of Lovecraft's stories, which are free online (Public Domain) So you really should read them. Those that posted on CPR, kindly just repost them here.
My character (Use for format)
--- Character Snapshot ---
Name: Issac Zawadzki
Age: 48 (Born 1892)
Gender: Male
Residence: Arkham, E. Armitage (Downtown)
Occupation: Arkham Police Department, Head of new task force.
Height: 6'1
Weight: 215
--- Appearance ---
Ever the traditionalist, Zawadzki follows in his fathers foot steps when it comes to clothing as well. With his derby hat ever present, his normal work attire consists of brown slacks, suspenders, a white dress shirt, black tie, and a now battered, brown trench coat. His face is hard lined and leathery from continued smoking and drinking, his hands heavilly calloused. His right arm lacks some mobility, though he hides it by using a cane, as well as doing many tasks left handed when possible.
--- Personality ---
Weary from a life patrolling the streets and numerous run-ins with the darker side of Arkham, Inspector Zawadzki quickly took to drinking, and later chain smoking, to help cope with the things he's learned and seen. Having served in the Great War, he's patriotic and can be condenscending towards other nationalities, as well as displaying a slightly racist look at the other blue-collar ethnic groups. Quick to anger, he's also prone to extended periods of moody, often drunk, contemplation. He looks forward to retiring in a few years, and disagrees with the formation of the division he's now heading, though he's devoted to doing his job.
--- Background ---
Born in the late 1800's, Issac lived in Arkham as the son of then Police Chief David Zawadzki. Enlisting when war was declared in 1917, Issac served overseas with the Marines in France. After being wounded in the right shoulder by shrapnel, he was shipped back to the states and discharged. While the metal was removed, his right arm is noticably stiff, though he offsets this by caring a cane with him. Joining the Arkham Police Department in 1919, Isaac began his noted, though not outstanding, career. Most of his cases involved organized crime and bootlegging, however, some of his reports filed were considered too strange to be given credence, something that kept him from promotion for a extended time. With the recent outbreak in Arkham of the strange and unexplainable, he's been tasked with heading up a "Special Research" Division, which he dreads, knowing how hard it can be to deal with the sorts of knowledge learned.
--- Equipment ---
Smith and Wesson Colt .45 1911. Polished black walking cane. Notebook. Cigars, cigarettes, copious amounts of alchohol. Matches. Zippo lighter. Incident accounts (Kept in his desk.)

Re: Arkham Files (Everyone place characters in this one)
--- Character Snapshot ---
Name: Terra Arledge
Age: 31
Gender: Female
Residence: Oxford
Occupation: Editor
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 143 lbs
--- Appearance ---
With glasses always perched on her nose and unforgiving, deep-set hazel eyes forever scrutinizing the world around her, it isn't far-fetched to guess that Ms. Arledge is British, looks British, and acts British. Her brown hair, in tight curls, almost strikes against her porcelain white skin. She dresses fashionably, notoriously with her expensive fur-coat, and looks much richer than she really is.
--- Personality ---
Just as cold as her exterior, the editor is known to be extremely unforgiving, boring and conservative, in both lifestyle and work. Often to-the-point, she doesn't concern herself with any formalities and may even address powerful figures like they are her inferiors.
--- Background ---
Terra comes from Oxford, born, raised, and later educated. She has been married to a man for the first part of her editorial career, although their marriage was not successful, and Terra talked her husband into a divorce.
Twenty seven years old, the woman began writing a book. While she was in fact an editor, she figured that did not stop her from writing. For the past year, Terra has been in Arkham for research.
--- Equipment ---
Terra is notorious for carrying a notebook and pen everywhere she goes. Aside from the spectacles, she carries make-up and a long cigarettes holder, although more often than not she doesn't bring cigarettes along.
Thought I'd copy-paste this now that CPR is pretty much deleting most its shit.
